Racers start the course in a street next to the Vancouver Convention Centre, with the Vancouver Olympics cauldron up ahead on the right. The city course's routes in relation to each other. Vancouver Velocity returns in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the fourth and final course of the Cherry Cup in the Booster Course Pass. The starting banner is notably based on the Gastown steam clock. There are three routes for this course, which are simply named Vancouver Velocity, Vancouver Velocity 2 and Vancouver Velocity 3.
